The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to serve others by helping to instill value in young people and prepare them to make ethical choices over their lifetime in achieving their full potential.

The purpose of this association shall be to help develop Christian values and improve the quality of life in the local area by involving individuals and families in programs that develop Spirit, Mind, and Body.

The Coalition of Successful Young Women (CSYW) is open to young ladies age 13 and up. Meetings are held the second Saturday of each month. On Saturday, June 12, 2004, CSYW will sponsor a "Career Fair". Participants will share information about their careers and how others can follow in their footsteps. WHERE: Lithonia-Davidson Library (near downtown Lithonia) TIME: 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm. Refreshments will be served

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (www.deltasigmatheta.org) is 96 year-old non-profit organization with over 200,000 women committed to public service. Delta Sigma Theta provides an extensive array of public service through its Five-Point Programmatic Thrust of Physical and Mental Health, Educational Development, Economic Development, International Awareness and Involvement, and Political Awareness and Involvement. The SMHS Band Booster Association, supports the SMHS Marching Band during the school season, to provide funds for uniforms, participation in various parades, school events and festivals, where Marching Bands perform.
